As a Sport Scientist I believe that arming athletes with the scientific principles of training and the knowledge of preparation for competition enables them to make better informed decisions.
I have developed a series of education modules on how to develop scientifically backed practices of elite athletes that are beneficial to preparing well for training and competition now and thereafter.
If you are from a sporting team or club, consider adopting at least one or more of these seven modules for your athletes and see the changes emerge in how they prepare for training and competition:
- Module 1 – Environmental Conditions
- Module 2 – Nutrition and Hydration
- Module 3 – Recovery
- Module 4 – Sleep
- Module 5 – Travel
- Module 6 – Understanding Physiology
- Module 7 – Ergogenic Aids
If you are part of a sporting team, club or organisation wanting to educate and upskill your athletes, consider arming them with the scientific principles of training and the knowledge of preparation for competition so they can make better informed decisions.
